Important things

The most important thing about playing two nuts, is having two nuts to play with. The nuts are conkers, the fruit of the horse chestnut tree. So, first find your horse chestnut tree. Our directory of the location of all the horse chestnut trees in the UK is taking a while, so it is down to you to use every sense at your disposal to find your tree. Here are some suggested locations:

Trees being what they are, they follow the seasons. This means that conkers are not available all the year round. You will have to wait until the Autumn, when the new crop is ready for collection. A growing sense of anticipation can be felt as Autumn approaches.

Conkers

You may be aware that another game exists, called conkers, using conkers, brutally run through and strung up. The perpetrator of this 'nut abuse' then seeks out another similarly equiped player and the two of them smash the unfortunate nuts together until one of them disintegrates. This is to twonuts as synchronised swimming is to whale hunting.
